A great way to assist vines to climb flat vertical surfaces with no visible means of support is with monofilament fishing line. This works on wood, concrete, stucco or brick. I recommend 40 pound test which is strong enough to support most everything.
Simply drill holes 12 inches apart in a horizontal line at the base of your wall. Do the same at your desired height. Next, you are going to need the appropriate screw, eyebolt, anchor, lag-bolt etc. to secure into the holes drilled. Keep in mind that these should extend 3 to six inches beyond the vertical surface once secured.
Next tie the fishing line to one of the secure eye-bolts and go
up and down (zigzag) so you are left with an invisible web of
support for your vine!
