A Word about Dogwooddogwood

I have never seen so many misplaced dogwood trees as I have since moving to Arkansas!

People, dogwoods are under-story trees which means they naturally grow under the canopy of large trees!!

Dogwoods are meant to grow with layered horizontal branches, stacked upon one another with see-through spaces between each layer!

They need to be located in the shade - part sun - filtered light, where the tree will grow to its relaxed natural form.  In the sun they grow dense like stupid Bradford Pears because the tree is trying to protect itself!

Quit it!
